Our organic Lemons come from Spain, Italy & Sicily from October to May and South Africa from June to October.Â
Our netting is now plastic free & Home compostable, made with Beechwood recovered from the thinning of European FSC or PEFC certified forestry.Â
Large, thick-skinned Eureka lemons can take up to a year to ripen, but are well worth the wait because very few ingredients can rival their culinary dexterity. Whether we're talking something as simple as the final touch to the perfect gin & tonic, a warm winter pudding, a light to bite cheesecake or some succulent lemon chicken the simple yet vivid lemon provides the perfect foil for other ingredients to prosper.
From a health perspective lemons are seen as natures blood purifier, a useful treatment against kidney stones, strengthening ones immune system, keeping rheumatism at bay and improving ones skin, teeth and hair.Â

Preparation and Usage
To get more juice out of your lemon, roll it against the counter before slicing. As their skins are organic and unwaxed, you can make use of our lemons not only for their sharp juices, but also their fragrant zest. A squeeze of lemon is a delicious way to finish a dish; the tangy juices help to lift the flavours of a summery dish, or cut the richness of a fattier, heartier meal. Lemon is also essential for creating a variety of salad dressings. For a classic lemon vinaigrette, add both the juice and zest of a lemon to olive oil, and whisk together with a small dollop of Dijon mustard and a pinch of salt and sugar.

Lovely sized lemons but one bad in pack
Lovely sized lemons but when I opened pack one was mouldy. I am sure they will be changed/refunded but a bit of a hassle when you need them.

chemical free lemons
Organic citrus fruit needs to be refrigerated otherwise they will go soft quickly. The alternative is you by non organic they last well but read the label even unwaxed are sprayed with fungicides to preserve them. You decide. I am glad Ocado offer organic lemons.
