Lovely addition to Prosecco/champagne/gin
Not had masses of success with getting them to open in Prosecco *but* I wonder if that is down to technique. On the other hand, these add a lovely sweet note to a glass of something bubbly. They are also very good to add a change to a G&T... or better yet, add to a negroni!
Disappointing result after popping in prosecco
Gave a jar of these delectable flowers to a friend who'd invited me to their barbecue and raved about how amazing they were. Unfortunately she popped them in her prosecco and within minutes they turned it flat. As a non-prosecco drinker my initial thoughts were that these gorgeous flowers don't fair well with their lesser cousin however on researching online it seems that they should. Maybe it wasn't the best variety of proseccos??? I've always had an amazing result previously hence the 4 stars instead of 5
Nice addition
If the quality control didn't let so many massive hibiscus flowers through this would be a great buy. As it is you'll probably find that a fair few don't look so elegant in the glass, to put it mildly. The flavour is great and worth keeping a jar handy
Disappointing
These look beautiful on the picture, but a little like something has died in your glass in reality. It is also not possible to use these in a champagne flute as there is not room for them to open properly. That said they turn your fizz a pretty colour and the syrup tastes nice.
Elegant & Easy
Fab for a super quick way to make champagne more exotic / interesting Everyone loves them, perfect for Autumn!
Wonderful surprise and not too sweet!
Makes for a nice change especially if not drinking champagne, and surprises your guests. Add a flower and a touch of the syrup to a glass of sparkling/prosecco and it transforms your drink to a great aperitif. And unlike casis it isn't as sweet, plus the flower is rather good to eat after too. My daughter likes them annoyingly!! just a smidge too expensive tho'.
