Not for me
Ive been trying all the flavours of porridge from this brand and this one isnt nice. I like rhubarb and ginger and was looking to trying it but sadly no discernible flavour. The packaging is tricky and excessive, the jam pot is difficult to open and refuses to relinquish the lid easily and in one piece, plus im not sure the cardboard insert is necessary.
Convenient but tasteless
Perhaps true vegans have better taste buds than me, but this was not at all creamy (and I have made really creamy porridge with coconut milk) and the jam has a musty flavour, no rhubarb or ginger detected. It was very quick and convenient though!
Lovely
For a healthier instant porridge than those with artificial ingredients etc, this is a good choice. The porridge is smooth and the jam pot is full of flavour and some sweetness.
Bland
I found this really bland despite all the flavours it claims to have. It just tasted vaguely sweet, and the oats were way too chewy for me. Not a fan.
This porridge is just right, & they ate it all up
I love an instant porridge pot, a quick, easy, no drama meal on the go. The Wolfy's range is amazing, I've not had one I didn't love yet! Delicate rhubarb jam that is just the right balance of sweet and sour, with a warm kick, great consistency and so creamy (made with water).
Ginger with a hit of sweetness
Pot porridge is a really tough call for me. They are really useful, but with the thin porridge oats and generally high sugar content I find them hard to get too passionate about. But, on occasion, I do like to try a new one out. Today I tried Wolfy's Vegan Rhubarb & Ginger Porridge for the first time, and I’m happy to report it’s decent. Not amazing. Just decent. The ginger is a nice warming sensation for a cold morning, while the rhubarb adds some sweetness to the mix. To be honest, the rhubarb was more of just a sugary taste rather than an identifiable rhubarb taste and texture. Also, it’s very hard to judge the right about amount of water to put in (there is a line on the outside of the carton, but the cardboard it’s made from is impossible to see when pouring inside). I put in too much and would advise erring with caution if you like your porridge a little drier.
