Confused about the water

Made the bread by following the instructions on the back of the pack. That said to use 350 ml water. I don't bake a lot but I have made bread in the past. The dough with that amount of water was a sticky mess. On the Website here it says use 290 ml Hand Baking then later the same as the pack. Which do you use? Think for me I'll stick to letting the bakers decide.

Ok for a quick loaf

I make this in the bread machine. It only takes 2 hours, and it comes out OK. It's not very ciabattary (is that a word?), but not bad for a quick loaf.

Dense loaf that isn't ciabatta

Not great a dense heavy loaf that didn't taste like ciabatta

Not ciabatta

I wouldnt recommend that as a ciabatta, its more like a regular bread, being its very dense. Ive add rosemary to mine so I cant comment on flavour but overall it is a nice bread its just not ciabatta there for I wouldnt recommend it.

Lovely

Really pleased with this, easy to do, quick (need proving but not a mahussive drama). We made rolls rather than a loaf and they were very good so will happily get this again. Not really all that bothered by the authenticity of their ciabatta- ness but if you are, this is probs not for you.

Perfect loaf

We made a loaf with it and it came out perfectly. It doesnt taste like ciabatta and has an almost strange taste I think some people may not like, but we liked it a lot and made good toast.
