something badly wrong with this batch
I have a bean to cup machine and having been drinking Illy coffee beans for several years. Its my favourite coffee bean and the quality is always consistent. Today I opened a tin to find it had the most unpleasant burnt smell and something foul smelling in the background. Its inedible, Im going to contact Illy with the batch number and complain. It will be interesting to see if anyone else has the same experience as me.
Smooth
A great tasting coffee. I always purchase this when it's on offer. It strong and has a lovely, smooth flavour.
Consistent and creamy
These beans are so reliable and fresh. Well rounded, smooth flavour and great for both espresso and using with an aeropress.
Missing lid
As mentioned by others, the outer metal lid was missing. This makes the tin useless once the seal is opened, particularly when it was bought with the intention of reusing it to store other coffee beans.
Best coffee but missing lid
I love this coffee but as others have noticed, it can arrive with no lid. Presumably the robot packers dont notice. Anyway Im going to claim a refund because you obviously need a lid!
