Jacket Potatoes are a comfort food classic; just add butter, a sprinkle of salt and you can’t go wrong. Ready in just half the time compared to a conventional oven, Air Fryer Jacket Potatoes will become your new lunch staple. Serve simply with baked beans and oozing cheese for a family favourite or take it a crunch further with crumbled Mini Cheddar's, if you like.

  • 2 large baking potatoes (450g each), scrubbed
  • 1 tsp olive or sunflower oil
  • 25g butter
  • 400g tin baked beans
  • 100g mature cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 (23g) pack Mini Cheddar's, crumbled (optional)


Step 1

Carefully pierce the potatoes a few times with a sharp knife then rub all over with oil.

Step 2

Put the potatoes in the air fryer basket and cook for 35-40 mins at 200°C, until golden, crisp and cooked through when pierced with a knife. Turning the potatoes half way through to cook evenly.

Step 3

Transfer the cooked potatoes to serving plates, cut and fill with butter, beans, cheese and Mini Cheddar's, if you like. Top with freshly grated black pepper to serve.

Cooking time will vary depending on the capacity of your air fryer. We used an 11L Tefal Easy Fry Air Fryer Oven.
