Kale has been getting a lot of hype recently in the health and nutrition world and has earned the nickname "the queen of greens". Packed with powerful antioxidants, vitamin A and vitamin C, kale is also filled with fibre.

Lisa's Tip: Keep watch over the chips whilst they are in the oven and make sure they do not burn.

Ingredients

  • 200g curly kale , washed
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 sprinkle toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 sprinkle onion salad crispies

Method

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 190C.

Step 2

Line a large baking tray with the parchment paper.

Step 3

Place the curly kale on the baking tray and discard any hard stalks.

Step 4

Drizzle with olive oil and then lightly massage into the kale leaves.

Step 5

Season with sea salt and black pepper.

Step 6

Sprinkle with sugar.

Step 7

Bake in the oven for 18 minutes, stirring every 4-5 minutes.

Step 8

When the leaves have gone crisp remove from the oven.

Step 9

Place in a serving bowl and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and onion salad crispies. Enjoy!
