Let the kids choose their favourite fruit for these fun skewers, dunked in a creamy chocolate avocado dip. It's easy to make this recipe vegan – just use dairy-free milk.

Ingredients

  • 1 punnet strawberries, stalks removed
  • 2 kiwis, chopped into chunks
  • ½ pineapple, chopped into chunks
  • 1 handful white grapes
  • 2 ripe avocados, for the dip
  • 5 tbsp raw cacao or cocoa powder, for the dip
  • 4 tbsp maple syrup, for the dip
  • 100ml milk, dairy or non-dairy

Method

Step 1

For the fruit skewers: cut your favourite combination of fruit into cubes and thread onto skewers.

Step 2

For the dip: whizz the avocado, cacao and maple syrup in a blender or mini chopper until smooth. Add the milk bit by bit until it reaches dipping consistency.

Step 3

Decant into bowls (save some in the fridge for later if there's too much) and serve the skewers alongside for dipping.
