This is our take on a childhood favourite, with three layers of fresh flavours.

  • 200g strawberries, hulled and roughly chopped
  • 200g kiwi fruit, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 tsp caster sugar
  • 200ml freshly squeezed orange juice , (from approx. 1-2 oranges, or use ready-made fresh juice)

Recipe tips / Prepare ahead

You can use different combinations of fruit for these lollies, depending on your kids’ tastes and what you have to hand. Puréed blueberries, raspberries, mango and papaya all work well, and you can use frozen fruit too – just defrost before puréeing.


Step 1

Put the strawberries into a jug or small bowl and whizz to a fairly smooth purée using a stick blender. Divide between 6 x 100ml lolly moulds and freeze for 1 hr.

Step 2

Put the kiwi into a jug or small bowl and use a stick blender to whizz to a fairly smooth purée. Stir in the sugar, then divide between the lolly moulds, layering on top of the strawberry. Freeze for 30 mins, until semi-frozen.

Step 3

Pour the orange juice into the moulds, on top of the kiwi layer, then add the lolly sticks. Freeze for 2 hrs, or until firm.
