A healthy fish supper that's ready in just 20 minutes. Use a few simple shortcut ingredients alongside quick-to-cook salmon for an easy midweek meal. Cooked grains are a great food cupboard staple to have on hand for adding instant fibre and texture.

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 1 packet ready-to-eat grains (we used Merchant Gourmet Glorious Grains with Red Rice & Quinoa)
  • 1 packet watercress sauce (we used Schwartz Creamy Watercress Sauce)
  • 60g baby leaf salad


Step 1

Preheat grill to medium. Grill the salmon fillets for 10-12 mins, turning once.

Step 2

Meanwhile, heat the mixed grains in the microwave according to packet instructions. Heat the watercress sauce according to packet instructions.

Step 3

Divide the salad leaves between two plates with the grains and salmon. Pour the watercress sauce over the salmon, season and serve.
