These moreish Spiced Honey Roasted Nuts from baker, food stylist and recipe writer Benjamina Ebuehi are fab for nibbling on at home, or they make a great home-made gift – just pop them in cellophane bags and tie with ribbon. Go the extra mile and dip them in melted dark, milk or white chocolate, then leave to set before tucking in.

  • 300g mixed nuts (such as peanuts, cashews and almonds)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp flavourless oil
  • 90g runny honey
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • 1 large pinch sea salt


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas 6. Line a baking tray with baking paper.

Step 2

In a bowl, mix together the nuts, sesame seeds, oil, runny honey, cloves, cinnamon, ginger and sea salt, until the nuts are well coated.

Step 3

Spread out on the tray and bake for 15-20 mins, stirring halfway. Leave to cool completely. Once firm, break into chunks.

Tips or serving suggestions

Allow extra time for the nuts to cool.
