Prepare Ahead
Preheat oven to 190c/Gas5.

Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the onion until softened. Transfer to a mixing bowl and leave until cold.

When the onions are cold add the remaining ingredients and mix well.

With damp hands divide the mixture into 16 balls and place in a lightly oiled baking tin.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 onion , peeled and finely chopped
- 50g hazelnuts , roughly chopped
- 450g sausage meat
- 1 apple , peeled, cored and grated
- 75g fresh breadcrumbs
- 2 tsp dijon mustard
Makes 16 balls
