S'more Spider Web Brownies

These fudgy and gooey chocolate brownies are laced with crushed biscuits. They’re also decorated with a drizzle of melting vegan marshmallows across the top to look like spider webs (very effective). S'mores really are the ultimate autumn treat, and this recipe makes them vegan, fun and spooky all at the same time. Have one and you’ll instantly want s’more.

Raspberry and White Chocolate Mummies

Gluten free and freakishly good, these shortbread style biscuits with a ghastly twist are ideal for any Halloween party. Made with freeze-dried raspberries speckled through, they’re then cut into gingerbread shapes and drizzled with lots of white chocolate to look like a scary mummy. Kids will love getting involved using cutters and rolling pins, and of course getting a little messy with molten white chocolate.

Surprise Mini Pumpkins

Instead of eating tooth-breaking toffee apples, indulge in gooey whole-cooked apples wrapped in pastry, shaped to look like a little pumpkin. Doesn’t that just scream Halloween? They make a truly dreadful (read delicious) pudding and are fun to make as well as to eat. Once baked, they can be decorated with orange icing stripes to help them resemble pumpkins with faces on and everything.

Witch’s Cauldron Cheesecake with Jelly Sweets

Bring out your crafty skills and give this shocking cheesecake a try. It has a traditional biscuit base and vanilla cream filling, but is topped with a layer of jelly that has all sorts of spooky jelly sweets submerged. It can be worms, snakes, spiders... whatever you like. To make it more witch-like, give the cake a black collar to look like a cauldron, and why not have a wooden spoon poking out? Swirl together different jellies to look like a potion, and have as many scary sweets as you like. Kids will love this.
