Chardonnay - White Argentinian Wine

Special moments are often graced with music: from a casual al fresco picnic to leisurely lunches on a sunny terrace. This Chardonnay knows how to harmonise with grilled scallops, salads, brie cheese and roast chicken. Refreshing, with aromas of honeysuckle weaving a pleasant melody with notes of citrus, melon and pineapple. Grown high upon our 750 acre Uco Valley Estate, Acordeón is blessed with a crisp, fine acidity and finishes as smooth as silk.

History
The old vines and exceptional location are within the most prestigious appellations of Mendoza: Tupungato and La Consulta.
Regional Information
In Argentina, the wine regions are of continental climate, where the main influence comes from the Andes rather than the ocean. Irrigation by the numerous rivers that carry water from the Andes makes the region fertile and rich. The vineyards are located at 1,200 meters elevation in the Valle de Uco, Tupungato-Mendoza.

Vinification Details
The grapes are hand harvested with yields of seven tons per hectare. This Chardonnay is fermented in stainless steel vessels to capture the aromatics and bright fruit flavours at a low temperature. Once the final blend is done, the wine stays in contact with fresh and light toast French staves oak for 5 months.

Bitter

Don't know how long Chardonnay is meant to last (Internet says 3-4 years but this was made in 2014 and tastes bitter/sour. Just horrible. I won't buy it again.

Don't bother.....

Husband tried this...one mouthful and rest tipped down the drain. rather expensive drain cleaner.. think the other bottle I got going that way 2..wouldn't want to give as a gift. How on earth was it £13 a bottle before on sale at £6.50. asked to give a star there is none for none so reluctantly a

Absolutely dreadful wine. Tastes like bad sherry and nothing like a Chardonnay of any kind. Deserves zero stars

I am surprised by the negative reviews. I was given this wine instead of my usual and I was pleasantly surprised - it is lovely. Just goes to show that our wine tastes are very idiosyncratic!

horrible wine

Worst wine Ive ever had. Undrinkable even when mixed with soda water. Taste like hand sanitizer smells. Do not buy
