Tasty, quick meal

Really tasty pasta bowl which can be kept in the freezer and enjoyed when youre short on time or just need a quick, healthy meal. These have been a lifesaver during my kitchen renovation! Highly recommend.

Too acidic

You really shouldn't be able to go wrong with mushrooms, lentils, and walnuts, but I'm afraid that for me at any rate this does; I find it unpleasantly acidic (probably due to too much tomato). Now, granted, due to chronic digestive problems I'm a bit over-sensitive to acid, so some people may actively like it and others won't even notice. But for me it was a disappointment, and all the more so because it's expensive. I don't think I shall be buying this again, even as a back-up meal, unless they change the recipe.

Hoped for better

Certainly a healthy and tasty meal, but a little underwhelming seems more a collection of random ingredients than a thought out dish. Definitely better with a glass of red wine.

convenient veggie alternative

I have ordered the version for 2 people a few times, and been pleased with it as a healthy and convenient option. The portions are not huge and sometimes some corners of the pasta are a bit hard (ie the little bits that dont have sauce on), so that knocks off a star. I think it is a well-flavoured alternative to a mince dish and has good texture. Some salad on the side would enliven it.

Ok

I appreciate the healthy ingredients in this. The dominant flavour is wine in this rich, dark meal. Mine was too dry (my microwave is 100W stronger than directions). I was glad I'd paired it with salad as it needed some freshness (there were tomatos but somewhat shrivelled). I liked the almond crumb. I wouldn't buy again but perhaps it is more of a winter meal.
