These bars taste more like dark choc, not sweet and very dense and filling. Im not doing any diet plan I just like the taste and the way they fill you up. Taste rich not like a worthy diet bar
Rich Chocolate bar
I find this a rich and satisfying chocolate bar substitute (I do LCHF and never eat normal chocolate/sweets) I think it's more brownie-like than the Atkins Brownie bar. Sensitivity to the type of sweeteners that can cause laxative effects if eaten to "excess", varies in different people, these Atkins bars usually have around 11g of it, for me that's fine. I've seen recommendations of a maximum of around 24g. I haven't eaten a normal chocolate bar in over a year so I can't compare easily the taste but I enjoy this.
I used Other slimmer products and thought they would be similar , but bars are sweet and make me feel sick
Beware of stomach pain and flatulence
These taste OK. However beware all Atkins bars because they contain Maltitol. This is an artificial sugar which goes undigested to the digestive tract and can cause pain and smelly gas. In my case, the pain was so bad that I had to stop the car because I could not remain seated. I googled the problem and found the culprits, ie the bars. I had been having one per day for three days. If you want good protein bars, avoid all bars that contain Maltitol or Sorbitol. Quest bars, for example, are not as tasty as Atkins but are much, much better for you.
nice chocolate taste
Often 'diet' chocolate doesn't taste very nice but this is my favourite from the Atkins range because it tastes like rich chocolate and I find it does fill me up till tea time.
These are ok very rarely as a treat but if i'm honest it is actually far healthier for you to have some real chocolate and get your protein from meat or dairy. Theses contain artificial sweeteners which will only spike your blood sugar and not satisfy your body's sugar craving, making you eat more ultimately.
