Product information

Bright violet in colour, this wine bursts with aromas of plum and blueberry, whilst vanilla and subtle hints of coffee express its time with oak. On the palate it shows supple berry fruits and cinnamon nuances balanced by soft, rounded tannins.

History
From the high altitude vineyards of Finca Monteflores in Mendoza, we bring you this beautifully made Estate Bottled Malbec; the newest addition to our herd. Created with steak and wine lovers in mind and honouring the dining clubs of the 18th and 19th Century which celebrated the beefsteak as a symbol of liberty and prosperity

The Malbec grapes for Beefsteak Club Estate Bottled are sourced from site-selected, high altitude vineyards in the best sub regions of Mendoza - Argentina's premium wine growing region at the edge of the Andes

Vinification Details
After being hand-picked, grapes are carefully separated from the stems by means of a grinder and then put into stainless steel tanks. The alcoholic fermentation takes place with selected yeast over a period of 7 days, with frequent pumping over, at a controlled temperature of 26ºC-28ºC (78ºF-82ºF). Maceration continues for an 10 additional days. 6 months aging in American oak

Pleasantly surprised

I'm reviewing this wine as I was sent a bottle by Ocado to try. A very grown up wine, full of liquorice and certainly went down well. I will buy in the future.

My guests where not offended.

Im reviewing this product because I received a free sample from Ocado. I got this more for friends at a Sunday lunch. They enjoyed it. I tried a small glass and was pleasantly surprised.

not for me

I am reviewing this as I got a free sample from Ocado I am definitely not a connoisseur of red wine but this wasnt for me - it was ok but just didnt have the smoothness I like I put most of it in a casserole and opened a different bottle
