Deliciously smoky
I was very impressed with this - it tastes exactly as it says on the tin. The smokiness comes through as does the heat (certainly not too hot though). It's incredibly versatile added to sauces, stir fries, as a rub etc. It's definitely worth that little bit extra for the flavour. Makes me want to try more of their products.
Best paprika Ive bought
Elevates my cooking!
Not particularly hot
OK but expected more flavour and heat than it delivered. Personal taste but I prefer other brands where I don't need to add as much cayenne and black pepper to my cooking too.
Spot On
Lovely, hot paprika. The truck to opening is to simply lever the teaspoon (spoon end not handle) under the lid and it pops open easily. Very fresh.
Out of this world good!
This paprika is sublime! Intensely smoky and sweet. Makes outrageously good BBQ beans, with roasted bell peppers, kidney and borlotti beans, Mutti passata, garlic, cocoa, American yellow mustard and BBQ sauce. Elevates the humble potato salad. Stunning in Marie Rose sauce. Just wonderful in homemade BBQ sauce: in a small saucepan, gently simmer Marks Smokehouse ketchup, Molasses sugar, American yellow mustard, a generous tablespoon of smoked paprika, cumin, Worcestershire sauce, honey and liquid smoke, then slather generously over ribs, burgers and steak. Once you make your own BBQ sauce, there is no going back! A store cupboard essential!
So difficult to open lid
I tried prising, I tried a can opener (on the bottom of the tin) and eventually I managed to open lid. Why does it have to be so difficult. Puts me off buying it again.
