scraps
Relieved I didn't pay full price for this tat
tasty
Great flavour, not too much fat and most importantly no nitrates!! However, I agree with other reviews that the pieces are quite small making it more chopped bacon than chunky lardons
bitty
Lots of little bits and grey looking. Also when cooking they went even more grey rather than brown and crispy. Not lardons at all but bacon scraps.
lovely
Great taste, good mix of meat and fat. More crumbs than lardons, but makes it more versatile. No Sodium Nitrite, which is a big plus.
Great in pasta
I ordered these because they have no nitrates and got a lovely surprise. Not your normal chunks of fatty bacon but more of a refined shredded bacon product that is now a fridge staple for use in pasta, omelettes, topping for soups etc. We dont eat much meat so these are a delicious addition for when bacon is wanted. Just be prepared that they arent what UK lardons usually are.
These are not lardons
This was like a pack of bacon shavings - tiny little off cuts not the big uniform chunks of bacon you expect with lardons. More like a packet of rashers which have been chopped up. Very disappointing and nothing like the picture
