favourite plant based mince
To me its the best plant based mince. Has a slight burger taste to it, but I add herbs if its for Italian food and spices for chilli or curry and it is always the absolute best. More expensive than other brands, but worth it. Also noticed its the one plant mince that meat eaters rate highly (and havent actually noticed its not meat in lasagne & a keema curry). Thank you for stocking.
Not for me
Tried this for the first time in a Bolognese sauce. Firstly it does not look great when it comes out the packet, more like a slab of dog food. You break it down in the pan to your desired consistency but it still doesnt look great even then. After I added it to the sauce it changed the taste completely but not in a good way. Very cloying and artificial which ruined it. I wont be using again.
My Favourite!
I absolutely love this vegan mince, it's SO DELICIOUS! Works well as a burger or added to chili, ramen, pastas, soups, and so much more. Beyond Meat is such a tasty brand! <3
Not for us
Thankfully I got this in a flash sale and didn't pay full price. We like a few meat free alternative mince, but not this. It already has a smokey smell before cooking, which I didn't like. I also found the texture too mushy and it leaves a funky aftertaste. It's not terrible, but I would not buy again.
Fantastic in bolognaise.
Really tasty vegan and gluten free alternative to meat. Easy to cook and delicious in a bolognaise.
Expensive and nasty
The exact opposite of cheap and cheerful. No Soy, no Gluten, no Flavour, no Nutrition. Just coloured cement mix that you can buy in bulk from B&Q.
