Poor substitute for us. Bitter and bland, odd plastic spout and lid make it impossible to reseal. Made worse by Ocados shameful choice of significantly higher price substitutes. (They shouldnt profit from their own poor stock control, this practice should be banned.)
I wouldn't waste this for cooking as it's wonderful over salad or large sliced tomatoes with a squeeze of lemon or drizzle of apple cider vinegar. It's great for dipping ciabatta etc with or without balsamic- I seem to be using it up fast but SO enjoying it!
I am on my second bottle of this gorgeous oil. I would definitely recommend it but I wish it was a little cheaper to be more affordable on a regular basis. I have tried it not only for sprinkling on salads and baby steamed spuds but also lately for replacing butter in a Keto waffles recipe and it turned out great.
This is a truly lovely EVOO! Slightly peppery, clean in texture, a bit buttery. I mean what you taste will of course be slightly different from what I can taste. But Im convinced that youll like it.
