Revolting recipe
now tastes disgusting, plant protein is ok if it cut their costs and didn't change taste, but impossible to cook, and revolting, threw it in the bin as didn't want to give it to the dog
Birds Eye ORIGINAL BEEF BURGERS
These are not original, they have added plant protein and they are revolting, soggy, tasteless, surly it's up to the individual to choose but confusing people with the title of Original is wrong. Want be buying these again and they have all gone in the bin. DON'T BUY!!!!!!!
Give them a chance
As someone who due to health issues eats a low animal protein diet these are bang on. They enable me to enjoy a proper burger just with less meat content. And as a lifelong Birds Eye burger eater I don’t find these actually taste any different to the their original burger, it’s just a softer texture.
Just no
I completely agree with the previous reviewer - why tamper with something that has been spot on for years? Even the quarter pounder states new recipe and I wont buy either now. We dont want plant protein! Please change to original recipe. Meanwhile Ill be looking in the shops for old stock.
Fussy eater approved
Bought these for my very fussy son as theyre meant to be the most like McDonalds burgers. He ate more than half so Ill be buying again.
Why Birds Eye, just why?
Ordered these in my last shop without looking properly, and wondered why they tasted off and now I know why... beef burgers with plant protein??? WHY! I have nothing against people who choose more sustainable or plant-based produce, but why oh why did Birds Eye trash the original recipe to start introducing plant protein into their BEEF burgers? Who is this for exactly. And I CAN taste the difference, I know that because I could tell the moment I bit into them even before I knew they contained plant protein. Very disappointed, Birds Eye, won't be buying your burgers again. Not out of principle, as I stated above, but for taste reasons only.
