WHAT MAKES THEM BOLD?
These are from the same family as the cannellini, haricot or navy bean. They have thinner skin and are far creamier than canned or tinned white beans.
Each bean variety is suited to different growing conditions so they are sourced from the best possible climate. Bold Bean Co’s Organic White Beans are then cooked low and slow to preserve their flavour and texture - hence why they’re so creamy and full-flavoured.
WHY CHOOSE JARRED BEANS?
Loved by celebrity chefs, jarred beans are a great way to add delicious flavour to your dishes without spending time soaking and boiling dried beans. There is no sodium metabisulphite or other additives in these beans, so you can enjoy them in their most natural form.
"Soft-skinned with a creamy texture and not a hint of pebbliness or resistance, Bold Beans are an absolute game-changer in the kitchen. If I have a jar of these in my cupboard – and I wouldn’t want to be without a good supply at all times – I know there is a comforting and quick meal I can make in minutes, which makes me very happy!"- Nigella Lawson

salty
Too salty and difficult to get out of the jar without mushing the beans. Tbh, I was quite happy with tinned beans at a much lower cost but got lured in by Nigella :-)
good
Really like these, one star removed as quite salty
Amazing and delicious
I tried these on a friends recommendation and havent looked back. No more tinned beans for me. I can eat a jar in a day and sometimes in a single meal I just wish Ocado stocked the Queen Carlins as well.
Tasty and good value but
the beans are very soft and crammed into jar, so tricky to get out without mushing. Excellent for mash or to add to a stew but Ill choose another (firmer) brand for salads.
Delicious
Soft beans like you get in Spain. Great heated as an alternative to potatoes or pasta.
jar of salt
I was expecting great things after reading the article in Ocado magazine but the reality was very different. The beans are packed in a liquid which is pure salt, hard to actually taste the beans at all. I rinsed the beans to try and remove the bulk of the salt residue but all that was left were mushy, tasteless beans.
