Crémant; if you know, you know! These quintessentially French bubbles are handcrafted in the traditional way, identically to the world most famous sparkling wines ! This particular Crémant is from Limoux where legend has it the world’s first fizz was created by Benedictine monks
Oh, and what's in a name? A Bowl Grabber?!? That's someone who holds their glass by the bowl, not the stem. A faux pas I hear you say?!? Yes indeed; because we're for people who love enjoying great wine not endlessly discussing it!
Country of Origin
Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Mauzac
Delicate white flowers, fresh orchard fruits and a hint of honey
Located along the route from the walled city of Carcassonne to the Pyrenees, the Limoux region is set in the heart of Cathar country and is home to one of France’s oldest wine areas. The cradle of fine wines and famous specialities, including Crémant de Limoux, this bountiful region is the birthplace of the first ever sparkling wine.
Crémant de Limoux is made using the 'traditional method.' During pressing of the grapes, the first juice is collected to make the prestige or ‘tête de cuvée’. The wines are then blended and a second fermentation in the bottle is produced by adding the ‘tirage’ liqueur. Whilst the wines spend nine months on the lees, the secondary bottle fermentation occurs. After nine months, the neck of the bottle is frozen to expel the trapped sediment. Each bottle then spends another two months in the cellar.

ok but not great
Not very crisp and def not dry so not to my taste - more like a Prosecco IMO / if you prefer sweeter fizz then this might be for you but wont be buying again
Beautifully crisp, clean tasting brut. Smooth on the palate, let’s hope it’s easy on the head because I enjoyed this!
