Vile
Horrible artificial taste. Waste of tonic. All 3 drinks, plus the rest of the bottle went down the sink.
Yuk
Smells and taste of perfume. Tried to mix it, but the perfume kept being the main flavour. Nothing natural about it.
smoky and strong enough for tonic
I really like the taste, which isnt sweet or fruit flavoured. I dont like sweet drinks. This doesnt remind me of gin, which seems to be what other reviewers were after, but I like it with ice and regular tonic water. Will buy again.
Not this one
There are alcohol free gins I like... and those which are baaaaad (and not merely not my sort of gin-flavour) Sadly my nose very quickly told me this was going to be one of the bad sort. It just smelled of vinegar. It didn't taste of vinegar and perhaps now I've forked out for it I will drench it with a flavoured tonic to get rid of it but it had nothing to recommend it.
Not to my taste
I love Conker, they make my favourite gin, but this non alcoholic alternative didnt quite hit the mark for me. I could see it would taste a little different from the botanicals so I tried it with different mixers, as well as plain Indian tonic. It was refreshing, but didnt make my drink feel like a cocktail like the Tanqueray 0.0 did.
Magic in the mixing...
I was put off by the smell of this at first and it took a while to get my mix right...50:150 tonic with citrus garnish. It makes a nice cocktail with 5ml of a strong gin dropped in (thimbleful) which is still very low %. I would warn people it's an unusual taste before just serving it. Don't skimp on tonic btw.
