History
Cantina Bortolato Emanuela is one of the leading family-owned wineries in Italy. Established in 1986 by the Pizzolo Family; Giorgio (Managing Director) and his three brothers, Augusto, Giuliano and Floriano.

The main estate is in Calamasino near Lake Garda, where the family continue to build on their success with an uncompromising commitment to quality.

Was lovely until a few months ago

not sure whats happened but Ive had to stop buying this. Over the past couple of months its become awful - its actually fizzy and undrinkable! Shame as it used to be a decent drop for a midweek, every day wine.

Used to be good but

I don't know if we've just been really unlucky, but the past 6/7 bottles of this have all been fizzy and we haven't been able to drink them. We used to buy this wine regularly for years as it's good for cooking but it's no good anymore.

Undrinkable \- faulty wine

This wine appeared to be a little "fizzy" when poured which alerted us immediately that something was wrong as it should not be fizzy in any way. It was unpleasant and undrinkable and we poured the bottle away rather than risk drinking something that seemed to have a fault in the production or bottling. Pretty label, but would absolutely avoid this in future.

Very disappointing

Tastes like £1.99 would be too much to pay. Possibly the most unpleasant bottle of wine I've tried to drink. Avoid at all costs.

Dull

The bottle we received had a warm dull taste. It was all at the back of the tongue. Won't buy again.
