Vinification Details
Vineyard lots are harvested at different times to ensure optimal natural acidity and moderate alcohol levels. Whole berries are hand loaded into small format fermentation bins and 225-500 L barrels; lots from each vineyard are treated individually; fermentation and maceration last for 10 - 35 days. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in barrel; wine undergoes active battonage to protect it and drastically reduce the amount of SO2 needed. Aged for 18 months in French oak.

Great vintage

I bought this when it was on January extra special discount so it was good value. It is 2018 so has had time to mellow in the bottle and is a well structured wine with a smooth finish. Definitely worth a try if you like a more sophisticated malbec.

very oaky, not to our liking.

I bought this wine at full price in the hope that the two reviews for this wine could be trusted. Unfortunately it wasnt to our liking, I tried decanting before drinking but it still was possibly the worst wine Ive tasted in a very long time. Its far too oaky and dense, with a bitter sharp after taste. So glad I didnt put this on the table on Christmas day. I did wonder if it was corked and thats why it tasted so bad for the price I expected better. Very disappointing.
