stale
unfortunately it arrived very dry and almost inedible. I only had two slices the rest went to the birds. I wouldn't buy again but judging by the other reviews maybe I was just unlucky. On the plus side it did taste nice and sourdoughy so give it a try and decide for yourself. great that it is organic too so I only took off one star because some people might like it dry.
great
If you want a really sturdy satisfying bread for toast and putting things on it its amazing.
Great spelt bread!
Whats not to love! Organic, spelt sourdough. Buy it regularly. I freeze it & just take out what I need. Needs to be toasted. I mainly use it to make goats cheese brushetta. Delicious!
Fantastic ingredients, does not upset my gut
I’m surprised by some of the negative reviews. This is an amazing spelt sourdough loaf with only 3 ingredients (flour, water, salt) with no extra additives or preservatives. It’s NOT going to be the same as the super soft, bouncy ultra processed wheat bread you buy at most places. It’s firmer and goes stale quicker, but it taste so good, and doesn’t upset my gut like all other breads do. I suggest you pop it in freezer if you’re not going to eat it within the first couple of days. Also avoid over toasting it, it’s perfect with a medium toast.
As others have found, barely a day or two best b4
The bread is ok, but receiving a delivery at 10pm and then this bread has two days best before. I will use it a day or two over, but would rather not, especially as the colour hides mould well. Ocado need a fresher turnaround for bread and drivers that keep fresh cold food actually cold.
Sour, sour dough!
The spelt gives this bread a more sour taste than normal bread, not as nice as a standard loaf but an interesting alternative
