Product information

This organic Chablis has a delicate nose with floral characteristics and notes of lemon and pink grapefruit. The palate is crisp and fresh with excellent acidity and a beautiful saline finish. Naturally occurring tartrates may develop in bottle due to low sulphur production. This does not affect the flavour or quality of the wine. Pouring gently is advised.

This Chablis is strikingly brilliant the moment your nose gets near the glass, pure, minerally, almost flinty in character. There's that rich acid texture that is the true hallmark of this area, and a concentration of fruit that has a lime-like grip
History
Father and son duo Jean-Louis and Jean-Christophe run this 22-hectare organic estate based in Saint-Bris-le-Vineux. This village is notable for its sheer number of highly respected growers. In France, Saint Bris is much sought-after, but thankfully it remains under-the-radar in the UK, making these wines a real coup when it comes to quality and pedigree of terroir.
Regional Information
Chablis is situated in the north of Burgundy. The climate here is semi-continental and the vines grow on limestone and clay soils, resulting in wines with great minerality and freshness.

Vinification Details
This organic wine was vinified in stainless steel avoiding the use of cold stabilisation in order to reduce sulphur levels in production. As such, tartrates may develop in bottle. This is a natural occurrence and does not affect the flavour or quality of the wine. Pouring gently is advised. The winery is now bottling without foil capsules in order to prevent unecessary packaging waste.

Superb quality

I bought this wine direct from the Templar Knight-built cellar in Burgundy, following a wine tasting of the Domaine Bersan range. This was my pick of the crop. The winemakers have been in the business for generations, and so had their wine tasting guide. A beautifully crisp, dry and fruity wine which is equally good for drinking or cooking.

Delightful Wine

The previous reviewer must have had a bad batch. My husband and I loved this wine. It worked really well with our meat stew with tomatoes. Good level of acidity, well balanced wine. Highly recommend.

no citrusy freshness

May be I got a bad bottle but it tasted very buttery and sweet - not dry like other Chablis I have tasted in the past. Also, the bottle received was not labelled 'premier cru' as in the product description - just plain Chablis. Disappointing.
