Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 220°C/200°C fan/gas mark 7.
2. Remove pie from the box. For best results, brush the pastry with milk or whisked egg*.
3. Place the pie (still in its case) on a tray in the centre of the oven and bake for 30 minutes until the pastry turns golden brown. If using a gas oven, cook for an extra 5 minutes.
4. Leave to stand for a few minutes. Remove pie from the case by using scissors to make a cut from the rim downwards to the base, or by slowly pulling the edges of the case away from the pie. Be careful, it will be hot. Make sure it's piping hot throughout.
* Don't worry, they taste just as good without doing this. It just makes them look even better if you want to impress.

Nice
Tasty
very disappointing!
Very little meat for this expensive pie! What meat there was, was of poor quality - the sort I would normally give to my dog. Will not buy again. Going back to making my own. At least there will be ample meat inside
Waste of money
Given the price, I assumed this pie would have been bigger which was the first disappointment. Then I made the mistake of heating and attempting to eat it... meat quality was atrocious and inedible! Ended up binning the contents and eating only the pasty, which wasn't very nice either but atleast edible.
Potentially good but they\x27re not. Dry filling.
Delicious pastry (just like the Steak and Ale version). But the filling is so dry. The first time I thought I had over-cooked them but, no, they're dry. The taste is there but a little more sauce for the filling and then they'll be good.
Filling and tasty
Though I prefer the pastry topped pies like the chicken and mushroom in tarragon which has more filling Thers no doubt if your hungry as a horse the full pies (pastry all round) will fill you and the pastry is delicious with decent filling. Can't stop chuckling at the reviewer who took it raw on a picnic - thanks for cheering up my day!
Not o nice
Usually a big fan of Charlie Bingham products, I purchased some o these pies on offer. Both the ham and the chicken tasted rather unpleasant the pastry was OK though. I will not be buying these again.
