I've had better Sag Aloo products. The whole pie felt dry and unappetising. Not much more I can say. Not reccommeded at all .

We love the Mushroom Vegan pies in this range but not impressed with the Aloo Sag pie. Pastry was very dry and what sounded like a tasty filling was bland.

Inedible

The pastry on Clive's is awful. Rock hard crust and crumbly broken bake that sticks to the roof of your mouth for its dryness. I had to throw away both this pie and the leek and mushroom pie, Expensive waste of money. Come on Clive's if you are going to make a gluten free premium product make it edible. Gone are the days of gluten free cardboard, or are they?

Best gluten-free vegan comfort food - best pie

I love this pie. The flavour is lovely, there's plenty of filling, and if you cook it right, the pastry is great. Some tips to ensure the pastry cooks to perfection - make sure your oven has heated to the stated temperature before putting pie in. When it has had almost the whole cooking time and the top of pie looks crisp and golden brown, turn pie out onto baking tray or oven dish UPSIDE DOWN. Then return to oven for 5 to 10 minutes more to give the bottom of pie and change to crisp up and go golden brown. It seems that the type of pastry doesn't crisp up properly when enclosed in the case, so this method will ensure it crisps up nicely all round and isn't mush. Follow these tips and hopefully you'll enjoy the pie as much as I do. There are so few products at the moment that tick all the boxes of Vegan, Gluten-free, Organic and sugar-free so Clive's are a blessing. I just hope they come up with more gluten-free options so we can have even more variety. Currently this pie is the best.

Mushy and soft

I'm not sure what happened to this pie, but the pastry became as soggy as the rather mushy filling. I couldn't eat it
