History
The Clos des Miran is almost entirely closed in by a stone wall hence the name “Clos”. The Miran were former owners of the vineyard.
At the turn of the century, the buildings which had fallen into ruin were fully restored and the fermenting cellar totally overhauled. The vines were also restored: damaged vines were pulled up and replanted with new varieties in order to improve the quality of the wines produced on the Estate.

Really enjoyable wine and absolutely no hangover
Ive been drinking organic wine wherever possible for well over a decade now, and its served me great. But in the last 6 months or so, Ive been getting a fuzzy head the next day even after only two glasses. I suspected its the added sulphites more than the grapes themselves, and thought Id give this wine a go. It doesnt give me even a hint of a hangover, which is wonderful. Only downside is that it doesnt keep well after being opened - I had a glass, kept the bottle in a cool larder and came back to it a week later and it had lots of really unpleasant sediment at the bottom, which meant wasting the best part of a glass. Definitely a wine to share and finish in one sitting. (I would have given it 5 stars had it not been for this)
a bit thin
We found this a bit thin, insubstantial. Then again, we both go for seriously black reds with a lot of dark fruit flavours.
very pleasant
Left to breath a wee while Deep bold big red Moreish
No Sulphites means no added sulphites.
Sulphites means no *added* sulphites. Sulphites are present naturally in wine. Nothing wrong with the description.
One of the best
I love this organic and sulphite-free wine, very easy to drink and its always in my weekly shop.
Dry and hard to drink
I ending up mixing this with another organic wine to make it more palatable, very dry and hard to drink.
