Brand
An innovator who loved to challenge convention, John Crabbie's goal was to create versatile whiskies that appealed to many and could be enjoyed mixed or neat.
We have taken his pioneering work into the 21st century and created Crabbie's Yardhead, a whisky which breaks from the norm and redefines how Scotch Whisky can be enjoyed.
John Crabbie
John Crabbie was a pioneer in whisky and challenged convention. In the early 1800's, he had the outlandish idea of mixing his whisky and his ginger wine and in so doing, he created the Whisky Mac - one of the first ever whisky cocktails. Mix Crabbie's Yardhead and Crabbie's Ginger wine in equal proportions (over ice if you wish) in a tumbler . . . relax and enjoy!

Tastes like a blended whisky
Doesn't have the refined taste and flavours doesn't last in your mouth for long. There was nothing that tasted like other single malts in the market
Great value single malt
Best known for their ginger beer, this is Crabbies first venture into the world of single malt whiskies and they've done an excellent job! It's smooth and easy drinking (for a single malt) with hints of peach and a sweet, dried fruit finish.I have a large collection of "proper" single malts but don't consider myself an expert, I'm very happy to drink this over ice or mixed with a Fever Tree ginger ale for a longer drink.
Smooth to start but finish could be better
4 of us tried this on Father’s Day. General consensus was: Smooth to start, the warmth comes through but the finish could be a bit better. Gave to the Father in Law to take home as he enjoyed it the most & he was very happy
Lovely smooth whiskey
Sent to review- given to dad to sample as he is the whiskey drinker. He enjoyed this - said too strong neat but smooth and very drinkable with ginger ale - a tasty tipple.
Decent smooth whisky
Id not heard of this brand but really enjoyed the smoothness of it. We enjoyed it on its own or mixed with ginger ale. Reasonably priced. Cant go wrong. Im reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado.
Smooth and mellow whiskey
Reasonable value, smooth and mellow, without a distinctive flavour. It compares favourably with supermarket brand of similar price point, superior to budget brands. Doesnt have a peaty taste.
