Green Lentils.
Our fabulous green lentils are known for their full flavour and all round delicious goodness. Just like their red lentil cousin we think they are the best lentils around, but don't just take our word for it.
Super tasty and versatile with no need to soak, they're great with a dash of olive oil and served with meat or fish.
We started with a liking for sandals, tie-dyed T-Shirts and a belief that food should only be grown as nature intended. Convinced that there must be people who think the same way, we set out to find them. Some people called us crazy but that didn't stop us. Today, lots of people share our beliefs and we continue to work with passionate people all over the world to produce some of the best organic food there is.
We're not crazy - just unshakeably committed.
Thank you for buying Crazy Jack Organic.

Delicious little organic lentils!
These organic green lentils are superb! They have a delicious earthy, nutty flavour and a perfect firm yet soft texture - I cook them for about 15-20 mins. They are easy to cook with no pre-soaking required, but if I know I will be in a rush I often pre-soak them in advance to shorten the cooking time. Glorious in vegan curries, risotto, pasta, stir fry, and as a side dish. They are glorious cooked with either Organic Spelt Grain, Organic Quinoa, or Bulgur wheat with vegetables, just like a risotto. They also make delicious vegan Shepherdess Pie flavoured with a little organic cinnamon. Another winner from Crazy Jack!
Really tough skins. Grandad Lentils
These are usually nice but this pack were soaked then cooked in a dal for 50 minutes. The skins were still really tough butt he inside oft he lentil was mushy. Ruined a big batch of coconut dal. I threw out the packet and have just read the review below saying that their pack of lentils was dated 2021 if mine was the same then that would explain having grandad lentils!
Expired 2 years ago!!!
I bought this a few weeks ago and when cooking it realised it was expired in 2021!!! I know its still edible but should not be put for sale anymore !
Great tasting lentils
The lentils don't get mushy.
Good taste but...
watch out for the tiny black beetles in the lentils. On average I find about 6 dead beetles stuck inside the lentils in each pack. There are also lots of lentils with "bite" marks on them. A bit off putting since I have noticed them. It also takes time to search for the lentils with the beetles inside unless you are not bothered about the extra protein!
Favourite
My favourite lentils by far, I dont buy anything else
