Is it legal to sell something as organic when it clearly isn't? Only one ingredient is organic therefore this product is not organic. Very misleading! Also why do you need cumin in celery salt anyway?
I love this!
Tasty, perfect with all meal. We never have enough of it!
Not celery salt
On the edge of being fraudulent really, this is cumin salt which is evident in tiny letters on the back label and in a big cumin fragrance when you open the lid. No idea how can this be sold as organic celery salt, as the main fragrance is cumin and the salt is, obviously, not organic. If anyone can smell celery in this please send me a picture.
Read the ingredients
Sadly, I didn't. This 'celery' salt contains cumin. It smells of cumin. It tastes of cumin. Fine if that's what you want, but when I purchase 'celery salt', I expect it to taste of, well, celery. An expensive waste of money.
large ugly chunks of salt with a little celery
The product is basically large chunky rock salt like the stuff for salt grinders rather than the expected condiment. The ratio of celery seed to salt is low so the flavour is really just from the salt. It fails when used, for example, in Bloody Marys as the salt stays at the bottom in lumps and there is little celery flavour. It can't be sprinkled on food unless you like chewing on salt nuggets. It is really only useful to add to liquid but at £30/kg it is expensive. Much better to stick to the usual stuff.
less good than it looks
Huge lumps of salt and not enough celery flavour. I am using it up in everyday cooking and will go back to the traditional one for sprinkling on chicken sandwiches.
