Fresh!
Fresh tin of green lentils. Would buy again
Flavourless
Almost completely flavourless
more like puy lentils
Green lentils usually end up larger when cooked. These are smaller, similar to puy lentils. However, they have been cooked perfectly, withinthe right amount of liquid, so it pours beautifully into the sieve. They are wonderful mixed with brown rice [and] raisins which goes beautifully with chicken or as a bed for fish (cod, seabass). Sometimes, mixed with tomatoes, cucumber, parsley and drizzled with good quality olive oil and lemon juice or apple cider vinegar, they make a delicious lunch.
Who knew!
I needed quick lentils for a recipe so chose these, over the plastic pouch, for cost and environmental / recycling reasons. Well, what a surprise! They're great lentils, firm but not too firm, definitely not mushy and with a really nice flavour. Any time I need instant lentils in future, these will be THE lentils.
Great taste; good firm texture not mushy
Excellent tinned lentils; easy to use in recipes.
