Filippo Berio
Filippo Berio has been producing fine Olive Oil since 1867, today the same passion and skill goes into selecting the very best oils for all our products.
Traditionally tin cans were used to pack olive oil, which was ideal for protecting it from direct sunlight and preserving its flavour.
Historically Filippo Berio was referred to as the oil in the "Golden Can" so we are now delighted to present our Olive Oil to you in this original format.

Ideal packaging for cooking use
Mild flavour ideal for cooking( deep frying of Wiener Schnizel in my case). The can does not have the potential toxicity of plastic,is unbreakable, and pours perfectly if you extend the spout and orient the can correctly.

good oil but bad pourer
The oils good but the pour from the spout isnt great, so unfortunately wont be buying again.

Great oil for cooking
I normally buy the Filippo Berio Virgin oil for cooking but recently discovered this variation. Much better for cooking and poaching and more versatile due to the very subtle flavour. Will even use in Chinese cooking since it doesnt overwhelm, but still have the health benefit of olive oil.
