Brand
Filotea – this is fresh, artisan pasta at its very best, produced by a small company located in the Marche region of Italy. An ancient recipe handed down by the current owners’ grandmother and made using the same meticulous processing methods, is what gives Filotea pasta the homemade taste and aesthetic it has become renowned for. With authentic flavour and tradition at the very core of the brand’s philosophy, the combination of the best soft wheat flour, the finest eggs delivered every morning by the same supplier, the bronze-drawn dough and the slow drying process, results in pasta with tradition, heritage and high quality simplicity in every piece. Add to that the entirely hand packaged element and Filotea’s artisan credentials soar. More recently, Filotea has adapted its processes to create dried pasta with the same values.

Love this
Really like spinach pasta and this tastes lovely and fresh. would definitely have again
Overpriced
I received this free from Ocado. This is my review. The packaging was ok, classier than normal pasta but then again, this is really extortionate in comparison to normal pasta. The product itself was fine but I could bit find any redeeming features to warrant the price. Tasted fine, cooked fine. Thats about it!
Lovely but...
(Received free in exchange for an honest review). The pasta is very nice- you can tell you are eating a classier pasta than the dried stuff that is more common in our house! I found the packaging quite helpful- the product is split into 2, each half is in it’s own paper tray. It made cooking the correct amount really easy. I wasn’t convinced that it would be enough, but once cooked, half of the pack serves my husband and I no problems. (He has a healthy appetite and I’m currently breastfeeding a newborn so am finding myself feeling especially hungry!). We would say the pack is correct when it says it serves 4, we certainly found half a pack to be plenty for us! The spinach is just for colour as far as I’m aware, it’s such a small percentage of the final product....like every other ‘spinach’ pasta I’ve tried, there is no discernible taste difference, just looks a bit more attractive than plain white pasta. The thing that puts me off this pasta is the fact that there is no information given about the eggs used. I would expect at the very least this should be free range, but at the cost of this product, really it should be organic, which demands even higher welfare standards than just free range. I’m very fussy about animal standards and will only buy organic eggs now since watching a BBC documentary about how chickens are allowed to be kept. This is the major factor for me to say that I wouldn’t recommend this product. I would rather use organic eggs and organic pasta flour (at £1 from ocado!!) and use our pasta machine to make our own at this tome, until the manufacturers of this product want to elaborate on the details of their ingredients. The cost is also a consideration, but given that Italian restaurants can be extortionate, this, in comparison isn’t as tragic as it first appears. It’s not something we would be able to afford on a regular basis, but that is because I am having to stick to quite a strict budget which I realise not everyone has to do! Overall, I would give 2/5 at the moment but if they swapped to organic eggs, I would give 5/5 stars.
good
received free to review, thought the taste and texture were great, suggested serving size is for four which is a bit of a stretch, would not buy at the full price though.
Tasty dried pasta
I was sent this to review by Ocado. The pasta itself is nice and tasty. However, I find the full price a bit too expensive.
Good but expensive
I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. Only gave this three stars because of the expense. It's good but also probably a visual thing for us - we prefer our pasta the 'regular' colour - as not convinced that the spinach adds any real discernable flavour.
