Filotea Squid Ink Spaghetti alla Chitarra Artisan Egg Pasta 250g

£6.50
£2.60 per 100gProduct information
Filotea pasta made with squid ink in the dough. Very impressive and with a delivate taste, this pasta is ideal for cuttlefish sauces.
Filotea produces dry egg pasta in the Marche region (central Italy), using the finest raw materials and following a unique recipe and artisan preparation methods. The result is an egg pasta that is reminiscent of a homemade one, traditionally prepared by grandmothers. It is light and easy to digest, while its textured surface helps to absorbe the sauces, thus exalting the flavour of all the ingredients. Filotea is regarded as one of the 'Top Italian Food & Beverage Experience' by the leading Gambero Rosso guide.

Agree with the previous reviewer, nasty texture.
Also, be nice to be able to buy an actual squid in this store as was previously the case. Or even some squid ink...if you're wondering, ink for the squid Ink tuile in Tim Kewley's "Seared scallops with roe velouté & dill oil" recipe.
A little disappointed.
I do like squid ink so when I saw this immediately I add to basket. It has nice flavour but the texture wasn't great for me. Easy to break, difficult to cook al-dente. The texture was like soba noodle.
Worth it when on offer
Delicious, but not worth it at the "regular" price. Great with a tomato squid sauce.
Price increase to £6.20,Sold at Selfridges at £4.5
Not worth the price increase Ocado for a mere 250g Not at all worth the price increase. As usual Ocado marketing/sales team have got it horribly wrong with pricing 250g of squid ink pasta at £6 ! This exact same brand Squid Ink pasta is sold at Selfridges for £4.50 & Ocado sells it for £6.20! Really? I for one will shop for squid ink pasta at another supermarket that sell Squid ink pasta for £3.50 about half price.
Decent but expensive
Good taste, but like a previous reviewer said, crumbled into small pieces when cooked. I made a squid and prawn spaghetti with it, which was delicious but would probably only consider buying it again when on offer.
Beautifully made
