Quinine, the essential ingredient of tonic water, was first discovered in 17th Century South America as a cure for malaria. By the mid 19th Century quinine was traded worldwide and it was the colonial British in India who added sugar and fizzy water to make it more palatable and called it "tonic water". And then someone added Gin. The rest is history.

Tastes sweet and artificial
I was sent this to review. Not for me. Definitely tastes different to plain tonic but almost sweet and artificial.
Interesting tonic
I am reviewing this because I had a free sample from Ocado. I drink Earl grey tea,so was delighted to get this to try.Quite simply,I loved it. Went well with Gin and on its own. Recommended
Nice but
These are nice but not strong enough Earl Grey flavour for me and I hadn't realised they were small cans
Pleasant
I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. The taste was pleasant, nicely balanced but little taste of Earl Grey. It made a pleasant drink just with ice, similarly with gin added, particularly pink gin. The presentation is attractive, but the price point is high for a drink not particularly differentiated by the taste.
Glad I Tried It
I'm reviewing this product having received a free sample from Ocado. Tried it on it's own first as you do and I have to say I would drink it on its own with a slice. Didn't really get much of an earl grey taste though. Tasted great with plain gin, lovely with lemon gin and unique with elderflower gin. Think for the price point at least ten cans would make it more appealing so I would probably only buy it on an offer.
Needed more Earl Grey flavour
I was sent this to review by Ocado. I wasn't too impressed as thought it would have more of an Earl Grey flavour. I tried it on its own so my next step is to try it with gin. I was slightly disappointed, as although the presentation and the packaging are nice, it is not a drink that I would probably buy again.
