Product information

Italian Dry Pasta.
100% Durum Wheat Semolina.
From Gragnano near Naples in Italy.
Suitable for Vegetarians.

Garofalo has been making pasta for over 300 years in Gragnano near Naples in Italy, the home of pasta. Made from 100% robust desert durum wheat and shaped using a bronze dye gives Garofalo pasta its premium taste and texture.

Farfalle are bow-tie shaped pasta. The name comes from the Italian word farfalla, meaning butterfly. Farfalle are formed from a rectangle or oval of pasta with two sides trimmed in a ruffled edge, and the centre pinched together to make the unusual shape. The pinched middle of farfalle helps keep them al dente when cooked and catches a little of the sauce. Farfalle is often served with light vegetable sauces as a summer pasta dish or in pasta salads.

Authentic Italian Pasta

My daughter lived in Rome for 3 years and has always regretted that she wasnt able to bring a suitcase of this pasta back to the UK with her. She is absolutely delighted to find that I can get this pasta on my order. Has converted us to this tasty and delicious pasta. A regular on my shopping list. For a quick meal pair it with Barilla pasta sauce, another firm favourite from my daughters days in Rome.

This pasta tastes amazing and makes a massive difference to the quality of the dish. I’ll never use cheap pasta again, though this is brilliant value when it’s on offer.

These farfalle are small, ideal for a salad or for kids. My son loves it with pesto :) This brand honestly makes best dried pastas ever

I'm not sure what I was expecting as I knew the weight of the bag when I got it, but it is a massive bag.

My childhood fav pasta

Garofalo is a very good brand of pasta ar a reasonable price, and this shape is great because it brings me back to childhood memories in Italy, when I often ate farfalle and rotelle (wheels) and they were my favourite shape :)
