Great gluten free pastry
This is the best gluten free shortcrust pastry that I've found so far. It rolled easily without crumbling and falling apart. It held its shape as a pie very well without filling leaking out. It also tasted very good and I don't think I'd have known it was gluten free.
Fantastic gluten free pastry
I have tried many gluten free pastry brands, but Sues far exceeds all the rest. I have found other brands leak large quantities of fat during the baking process, Sues does not. Its light and crispy and quite honestly, if I wasnt aware it was gluten free, I wouldnt even know. As far as the reviewers go, who complained it crumbled when rolling out, I have no clue what theyre talking about!! I roll out with gf flour and baking parchment and then once at the correct thickness, flip into a tin. If there are any breakages, and let face it, this can happen with glutinous pastry, it is very easily patched. Its so easy!! I agree with the reviewer who said the key is to keep it chilled, especially after rolling out, so when my tin is lined, it goes in the fridge for half an hour. However, its a must to have it out of the fridge to room temperature to make it easier to roll. All in all I think Sues pastry is amazing and I wont use any other.
Fantastic product
I read there were some reviews saying it was too crumbly but that’s what gluten free and egg free pastry is!! It needs chilling at every step. I love this pastry I can eat pies etc again without fear of illness as i am celiac and also have an egg allergy. As it’s frozen I buy in quantity and use from the freezer when I have pastry on the menu. Wholeheartedly recommend.
Excellent
Really nice pastry but only made one quiche, so super expensive
Light crispy pastry
I used it to line a flan dish. Rolled onto grease proof paper sprinkled with GF flour and just flipped it in. A couple of broken pieces were easily patched. Baked it blind and then filled the cooked pastry case. Enough left over for a few jam tarts.
Best GF Pastry
Tried all brands and this one delivers. Followed instructions on packet and it rolled out and cooked perfectly well. Will be a staple in the freezer from now on
