The most disgusting food I ever tried.
We binned everything. Whatever this is, it is not a tagine. Disgusting, Never tried something that bad. Ocado should remove it from their website.
Lovely flavour
I love these spice mixes and the texture of the finished dish. Agree that it is expensive, even when purchased in special offer.
Definitely has a kick to it...
This sounded very promising when Ocado asked me to review it however neither my husband nor I were impressed with the actual outcome. The heat overpowered the delicacies of the spices, we ended up adding yogurt to even out the flavour a bit. Overall I thought it was pretty pointless, you can get better results with your own spice mix and more affordable.
Interesting flavour
This was a nice spice mix. It made a very tasty tagine. It was expensive and you could probably make yourself but a quick meal to prepare
Very Expensive and Not Very Exciting
For what is basically a spice mix this is extremely expensive. I understand they wish to aim for the ‘gourmet’ market but it really does not represent food value. The taste is ok but nothing out of the ordinary.
Easy Tagine
As a few reviews have mentioned if you have a good range of spices already, you could make this yourself for less money. However, if you don’t, this is a nicely balanced spice mix that we have used for both meat and veg Tagines. Used stock, tomato puree and soya sauce for a greater depth of flavour, hardly authentic but tastes great.
