Tasting Notes
Graham's 20 Year Old Tawny has an excellent ‘nutty' characters and delicious hints of orange peel, exquisitely mellowed by careful ageing. On the palate, it is rich, softly sweet and smooth, perfectly balanced, with a long and elegant finish.
History
Founded in 1820 by William and John Graham in Portugal's Douro Valley, for nearly two centuries Graham's has cultivated its reputation as one of the greatest names in Port. The quality of Graham's Port relies on the finest grapes, primarily sourced from five iconic quintas in the Douro Valley, which are privately owned by members of the Symington family.
Regional Information
The Douro valley is one of the most challenging wine-growing regions. Its mountainous terrain & steep winding valleys create a microclimate producing unique wines. The Marão range, which rises to 1,400m, ensures the region is protected from the influences of the Atlantic. The temperatures fall below freezing in winter & consistently climb above 30C in summer. These harsh conditions are ideal for making wines of great power & concentration. Steep gradients preclude machinery, all grapes being handpicked.

Vinification Details
The grapes come primarily from five 'A' grade classified Quintas, amongst the best in the Upper Douro Valley. Sitting in the heart of the Upper Douro Valley, these Quintas enjoy an ideal combination of a hot and dry micro-climate, coupled with a unique schist soil that provide the best conditions for growing and optimal ripening.

Lovely port

Absolutely lovely port, would wholeheartedly recommend, but it's available about £8 cheaper from other shops/online delivery services!

A little glass goes a long way! Hands down my favourite “treat” drink. So good that my mum who doesn’t usually drink even enjoys a glass. Keeps very well once opened too so there’s no hurry to finish the bottle.

Lovely & smooth - go on its Christmas - buy me!

Such a wonderful port. Grahams is our favourite & we always buy a bottle for the Christmas build-up, watching A Christmas Carol ("Make it so number 1" version, naturally) 2 years ago we upgraded from the normal Graham's to the 20 year old port when it was reduced to £30 & we were not disappointed. Absolutely top shelf stuff for £30. Just hanging on now, in the hope it will be reduced again this year (2020). Enjoy a really smooth & delicious bottle of port.
