Potassium Carbonate is commonly added to cocoa powder to balance out the acidity and bring out the rich chocolatey aromas. This is often referred to as 'Dutching' and has been used by chocolate makers for over 180 years.

very reach and delicious cocoa. Try to have a cup of cocoa before bedtime and you'll sleep like a baby. it works well with me
This makes really delicious drinking chocolate - tastes of chocolate rather than sugar, unlike many other brands which are far too sweet. Also, you only need a teaspoon per serving. Would be nice if it came in a bigger tub though!
Add a little sugar and it is better than hot chocolate without added nasties. Lower in fat than many hot chocolates and useful in baking too. Win win
Chocolate snob approved
Yes the tub is too small and the packaging excessive. But this is really good quality fine ground chocolate. Deep rich not bitter. Definitely the best one on Ocado.
Makes wicked hot chocolate
This cocoa has a wonderfully luxurious depth of chocolatiness.
totally unnecessary plastic lid.
