Growing Success Slug Killer is a blue pellet containing a naturally occurring active ingredient, Ferric Phosphate. The pellets can be used as a bait for the control of slugs on bare soil and in all edible and non-edible plants. Pellets containing a naturally occurring ingredient that remains effective after exposure to rain, watering and sunlight.
Preparation and Usage
When to Use
Application is usually during spring and early summer and also in early autumn. Where attack is heavy, it may be necessary to repeat the application. Best results are achieved by application during mild damp weather, after rain or after watering the garden when slugs are most active. Applications are best made during the evening prior to when slugs commence feeding.
For maximum effect (persistence on soil), bait should not be applied just before rain.
How to Use
Sprinkle thinly and evenly on the soil surface around and between plants to be protected or wherever slugs are to be found, at a rate of 5 grams per square metre. When applying this product near food crops take care to avoid pellets becoming trapped or resting on the leaves. After eating Growing Success Slug Killer Advanced bait the slugs cease feeding. Death follows. Treated areas must not exceed the maximum total dose of 20 grams per square metre per year.
Ready to use bait containing 8.1 g/kg anhydrous ferric phosphate.

Inadequate packaging
The lid does not fit well and did not stay on during transit pellets flew every where when I opened the bag. Don't advise buying these until packaging is improved.
Perfect
I've been looking for an organically approved slug killer. I saw this one in the garden centre, but it was way more than I wanted to pay, so I was very pleased to find it at such a good price.
Pet friendly or not?
Was sent this to review however I couldn’t really establish if this was safe to use with pets so have not risked using it.
Seem to do the job!
I was sent these to review. The number of empty snail shells around indicate they are effective. I would buy them again. Its been very very wet this summer, but these still work after being rained upon. I just wish the slow worms, toads and frogs would do the job for me!
not too effective
was sent this to review. I don't normally use slug pellets & despite being organic this still says keep away from pets & children so I only used it in the greenhouse around vulnerable seedlings- some still got eaten though
Disappointed
I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. a) It is a very well designed dispenser. b) The active ingredient is the same as in the organic slug killer I already use, but the pellets appear to dissolve away much more quickly. c) Despite my surrounding my newly planted cucamelon with these pellets, the plant was attacked and eaten by slugs by the following morning. I was not pleased!
