Excellent bread
This is a really good value healthy bread. The seeds are subtle and the taste is really wholesome. Great for toast after cutting in two. Lovely toasted with smoked salmon and cream cheese.
usually fresh but not today
Bought in a flash sale. Usually this bread is lovely and fresh. Purchased today with 3 days to expiry and tried it today too. However found it very dry and possibly almost stale when making my sandwich. Only good for toast now. Disappointed as it is usually very good and one of my favourites.
Tastless
bought this on flash sale but it wasn't even worth that - so tasteless it's untrue. How can a bread full of seeds etc have no taste? Makes me wonder what Hovis have done to it!
unexpectedly nice
Reading the other reviews I would not have gone for this. But only read them after I bought it, as it was half price......i would buy at full price. Yes it is dense, bit like German bread, but defo not tasteless. Not like many cardboard granary loaves....great as Earnies, and makes Great toast, big slices need cutting in half to fit in.
A BIG FAT NOOOOOO!!!
Disclaimer: I hate writing bad reviews and try to always find a redeeming point/s about a product but this was just soooooo bad and disappointing!! By the name you are fooled into thinking this is the same as there normal granary style bread or at least bare a close resemblance.. Well it doesnt!! So very misleading by Hovis and disappointing!!!! I would not recommend this nor buy again, it taste so BAD.
Tasteless!
Possibly only good for sandwiches if you pack them do of flavor that too... bland and dense with no appeal whatsoever. Wouldn't but it with a discount either!
