Tastes chemical
Received as a substitute for Warburtons. I'm used to snacking on the slices straight from the bag but couldn't do that with these. The bread is stodgy and has a horrible chemical taste,. That first slice went in the bin. Then I realised you're supposed to toast these and they are okay when toasted with butter, but I still get that chemical hint from them. Won't buy and will refuse if substituted again.
Two slices for brekkie
I like them with butter, or sometimes peanut butter. Very good little raisin loaf.
Lovely with a cup of tea
I agree with other reviews that the cinnamon flavour isn’t strong but this is delicious. My favourite treat with a cup of tea when I can’t home from work and can’t be bothered making anything “proper”. Soft, slightly sweet, lightly spiced bread and loads of plump raisins. Keeps really well. Much nicer (and a lot less dry) than the other versions available on Ocado!
Where’s the cinnamon?
Nice enough bread although a tad dry. When you open the pack and smell - no cinnamon at all. Look at a slice - no swirl of cinnamon to be seen (they use flakes). Toast and eat it - the merest hint of cinnamon. Disappointing. Won’t buy again, there are definitely better options if you want a hit of cinnamon with your baked goods.
