Very strong and sour flavour

Bought this just as a change from our usual Loyd Grossman Tomato and Red Wine sauce. This has an exceptionally strong flavour, but not in a good way, and is quite sour (and I don't have a sweet tooth at all)! I'm not sure where the difference between this and our usual brand lies, as having compared them the tomato and red wine amounts are similar - the only difference is that this has no added sugar, but I'm sure that's not the reason - this tastes like it has been 'reduced' too much by simmering, leaving it very thick. I love Jamie Oliver, I really do, and often cook his tomato sauce recipes from his website, and those are great, but this ready-made one just doesn't work for me, sorry.

worst pasta sauce ever tried. difficult to pin down exact flavour but tasted quite synthetic.

I added king prawns, garlic, chorizo, tenderstem broccoli, and some grated cheese- One of my Favourite pasta sauces out there :)

Good cupboard standby

Bought this as on offer, and much cheaper than our usual, organic brand. Made an enjoyable (beef mince) bolognese for my husband, I had it plain, as I am veggie. Went well with grated cheese. Would buy again
