“With the prevalence of bird flu in the UK right now, we're doing things a little differently this Christmas. Our flocks will still be raised to full maturity and traditionally dry-aged, we'll just be harvesting the birds a few days earlier and keeping them super-chilled (to -5ºC) ready for dispatch. Rest assured that your Kelly Bronze turkey will arrive fresh and to the same high standard as always.”

too many feathers
Agree with other reviews. I bought this turkey Dec 2022 and I was shocked to see the amount of feathers that were left on. Took over an hour to try and pluck all the feathers out, very stressful. Theres already enough to do over Christmas, without having to spend so long plucking feathers, very disappointed with the quality at that price. Will most definitely NOT be buying this Turkey again!
Way too much plucking required!
There were SO many broken quills and feathers that needed removing - hadnt factored finishing the job myself, which took just shy of an hour (fingers and later makeup tweezers!) and set dinner back quite a while.. didnt expect this from the brand, particularly given price paid.
nice flavour but lots of feathers
the flavour after seasoning was perfect and it was juicy. cooked so fast in under 2 hours for such a large size so left plenty of oven space. good that it comes with a thermometer was very helpful. However, there was so many feathers that during prep took ages to take out which was an inconvenience. other than that was fine
I wont be buying this again. Horrible to have to pluck so many thick feather ends out of it. Ruined it. When cooked the skin was nothing. Legs were dry. Have to admit we cooked it the way we always cook turkey ie basting and bacon but that clearly didnt work. Couldnt see how youd get juices for gravy if you sat it in water as they suggest.
lots of feathers!!
Agree with other reviews, it takes forever to pluck the feathers.
2 hours to pluck
I bought this turkey two years running and although flavoursome and moist, its not worth the two hours it takes to pluck it so I will not be buying it again this year.
